What is Yaoi?

Yaoi (やおい) A.k.a. Boys' Love is a Japanese popular term for female-oriented fictional media (Anime/Manga) that focus on homoerotic or homoromantic male relationships. Originally referring to a specific type of dōjinshi (self-published works) parody of mainstream anime and manga works, yaoi came to be used as a generic term for female-oriented manga, anime, dating sims, novels and dōjinshi featuring idealized homosexual male relationships. The main characters in yaoi usually conform to the formula of the seme (攻め "attacker") who pursues the uke (受け"receiver"). In Japan, the term has largely been replaced by the rubric Boys' Love (ボーイズラブ Bōizu Rabu), which subsumes both parodies and original works, and commercial as well as dōjinshi works. Although the genre is called Boys' Love (commonly abbreviated as "BL"), the males featured are pubescent or older. Works featuring prepubescent boys are labeled shotacon, and seen as a distinct genre.

Reasons why I like Yaoi

1.       Uniqueness: For me unique ang story/plot ng bawat yaoi manga na nabasa at anime na napanuod ko na.
2.        There’s true love: it made me realize that true love exists between two persons with the same gender. Sabi nga sa isang English BL story na nabasa ko, “A man can love a man the same way a man can love a woman!” Oha…
3.       Papables: Maraming yummylicious doon haha echos… Pero seriously sa mga Yaoi stories na nabasa ta napanuod ko puro mga gwapo ang mga lead characters. Yun na!
4.        Inspired: Well, reading yaoi made me… gave me ideas how to write “aherm” scenes… Alam na!
5.       Kilig Factor: Ewan ko ba pero pag nababasa/nanunuod ako nun ay kilig to the bones ako sa mga eksena at linya… Ayeeeii!

Nonsense Segundo

Last last month I posted about the Nursing Licensure Exam: Nonsense Uno and guess what people... I PASSED! Woot! Yeah, isa na akong dakilang nurse na kasalukuyang walang trabaho at tambay sa bahay. Hanggang ngayon pakain at border pa rin ako ni Inay.

Pero okay lang naman, 'wa reklamo si Inay! Well, isa lang naman ang laging nakasimangot 'pag andyan ang presensya ng kagandahan ko eh, Si Step Papa! WEW! Eh, akala mo naman may pakinabang din siya? WALA!

Anyway, mag-oOath taking na ako at sa wakas makukuha ko na rin ang pakaiingatan kong lisensya. Juiceme! Wag naman sanang ma-revoke agad... pupunta pa akong Tate!

Speaking, kanina sa usapan ng mga lasing naming kapitbahay, na sa aming bahay pa napagtripan tumagay ay laman ako ng usapan... Kala nila di ko alam, ha! Bleh, alam ko kaya... Ayun nga, pumunta na daw ako ng ibang bansa specifically, Dubai! Naman, di pa ako nakakapagsilbi kay inang Pilipinas ay pinapalayas na ako agad. 'Wag naman, di ako ganun! Kulang na nga ng medical staff dito sa bansa (kasi maraming tambay, hehe!) makikisali pa ako sa walang kamatayang pagpunta dun. AH, oo nga pala pupunta pa rin ako dun, hindi pa nga lang ngayon.
